At Wolfswap, we are guided by two core principles:

Our commitment to Wolfswap’s sustainable development and the $MOON ecosystem has led us to implement strategic initiatives designed to strengthen $MOON. Through a thorough analysis of various scenarios, we have developed a sustainable approach, dedicating 50% of all Wolfswap fees to a buyback program that repurchases $MOON from the open market.

Every trade you complete on Wolfswap earns you points toward the season leaderboard, giving you the chance to compete for significant $MOON rewards. Each trading season spans approximately three months, with the current season’s end date displayed on the season leaderboard available on the contests page.

**$MOON Buybacks and Allocation**

The $MOON acquired from 50% of Wolfswap fees is allocated as follows:

1. **Trading Season Prizes**

   * Each season, the top 50 traders on the leaderboard will receive $MOON rewards based on their ranking.
   * 25% of all Wolfswap fees (or half of the $MOON buybacks) will be awarded to Trading Season winners as follows:
     * **1st Place** – 20% of the prize pool
     * **2nd Place** – 10% of the prize pool
     * **3rd Place** – 5% of the prize pool
     * **4th-10th Places** – Share 15% of the prize pool
     * **11th-50th Places** – Share 50% of the prize pool

   In addition to $MOON rewards, the top three traders will each receive an exclusive ERC-404 $WOLF token. Note that prizes for the main trading season leaderboard are distinct from any token-specific contest prizes, which have separate prize pools.
2. **Staking Pools**
   * To support the sustainability of $MOON and the Wolfswap ecosystem, $MOON is allocated to [$MOON Platform Rewards](/index/ecosystem-tokens/usdmoon-platform-rewards.md)
3. **$WOLF ERC-404 Rewards**
   * To reward loyal community members, 10% of the $MOON will be allocated to [$WOLF Platform Rewards](/index/ecosystem-tokens/usdwolf-platform-rewards.md)
